De-Extinction is my first experiment with zine making, and one of the first books I have made since I was 6 years old. I used to love making my own little books with construction paper and crayons- I remember making one about dragons of all shapes and sizes fighting to the death tournament style.

I wanted to entertain my fascination with comparing dinosaurs to modern animals. This zine is a loose collection of illustrations showing dinosaurs behaving like or interacting with familiar living animals. It emphasizes without words how dinosaurs are equal part alien and animal. They interacted with their ecosystems just as vibrantly and consciously as any other animal.
