Dryptosaurus is one of the many dinosaurs unfamiliar to most people. Due to limited and fragmentary material, not much is known about this elusive predator despite being one of the earliest carnivorous dinosaurs to be discovered.
This linoleum block print shows the fearsome head of Dryptosaurus with a dazzling blue tongue. The negative space carved into the block makes for a highly detailed plumage of feathers. While not based in any scientific knowledge of the animal, the image draws inspiration from the Blue Tongue Skink and fellow Tyrannosauroid Yutyrannus to create a highly speculative representation of Dryptosaurus.
